
In March 2009, as part of its Lenten campaign, which focused on people who have been forced to flee from their homes by war, Trócaire hosted a visit to Colombia by Irish broadcaster and journalist Karen Coleman. They travelled to the seaport town of Buenaventura on Colombia's west coast (Valle de Cauca Department) and the slums of Bogotá to talk to some of Colombia’s more than 3 million displaced people.
Following her trip Karen Coleman produced three short videos and a radio documentary on how the armed conflict and illegal drugs trade are affecting Colombians. View them here
